The role:
As part of the Short Tails Claims team, you will be reporting into the Head of Short Tail Claims. As the Claims Team Leader - Property/Landlord, you will be leading a team of professionals to deliver best practice claims management and exceptional customer service. Your team will consist of six (6), experienced technical claims specialists highly skilled at their respective roles.
As a leader in the claims team, you will provide ongoing coaching, support, and development to enhance individual and team performance. You will oversee KPIs and workflow, ensuring efficient claims processing while collaborating with specialist functions to achieve high-quality outcomes. By championing the Claims People Value Proposition, you will foster engagement and uphold company values and culture, acting as a role model for excellence.
You will partner with Quality Assurance to address training needs across technical, systems, product, and soft skills, ensuring continuous learning and improvement. Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, you will proactively report and resolve issues. Additionally, you will cultivate strong stakeholder relationships, providing feedback on supplier performance and driving cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives.
What we are looking for:
- Proven leadership excellence with a track record of empowering high-performing teams, ideally within the general insurance sector
- Extensive expertise in general insurance commercial/property claims, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and regulatory frameworks
- A compelling and confident communicator, adept at engaging and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the business
