Your New Role

Acerta is an Australian insurance intermediary that partners with brokers and underwriting agencies to deliver tailored commercial property landlord and professional indemnity solutions. Backed by Guild Insurance it combines strong underwriting expertise risk surveying and an innovative platform to support its partners. Come onboard as an Assistant Underwriter in the Commercial and Digital team on a fixed term contract for 6 months. You will play a key role in supporting profitable growth through exceptional broker and customer service with a strong focus on digital underwriting and platform offerings. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced leaders and develop your underwriting career.

 

What you’ll be doing

Provide prompt broker responses and support across digital underwriting for LL and PI products using Momentum and other Guild systems. Assist with risk referrals and underwriting file standards while learning commercial property underwriting. Build relationships with brokers and key producers ensuring timely quotes renewals and negotiations. Deliver feedback and market intelligence to improve digital offerings and identify opportunities. Support operational processes governance standards and participate in team projects. Maintain accurate broker records and manage policy documentation including endorsements renewals and cancellations. Assist with debtor management and general administrative tasks.

 

What you’ll bring/skills and experience

1–3 years of administration or customer service experience within the insurance industry. Knowledge of insurance products and systems. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. IT proficiency and excellent organisational skills. Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

 

Qualifications and experience

ANZIIF studies in progress ideally Diploma of General Insurance ideal.
