Here, you’ll be part of a team that values your contribution, encourages your development and celebrates your success.
Your New Role
As part of the Product and Underwriting team at Guild Insurance, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and evolving our suite of product wordings. Reporting to the Head of Underwriting Operations and based in either Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD, you’ll ensure our wordings are clear, consistent and compliant.
Your work will help keep our products aligned with customer and partner needs, claims trends, underwriting risk, regulatory changes and reinsurance requirements. By simplifying language and improving clarity, you’ll support our product strategy and help deliver insurance that’s easy to understand and trusted by those who rely on us.
What you’ll be doing
- Review and update Guild’s suite of product wordings to maintain currency, clarity and compliance
- Identify and resolve coverage or wording gaps in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Claims, Customer Care, Portfolio and Agencies
- Draft and implement changes to product wordings, including customer communications and regulatory notices
- Drive the development of new wordings in line with product strategy and stakeholder input
- Maintain product registers and ensure visibility of wording changes across the suite
- Contribute to the simplification of policy wording and deployment processes using digital tools
- Provide subject matter expertise on compliance and regulatory changes affecting Guild products
- Facilitate risk assessments and implement time-critical changes when required
What you’ll bring
You have 5–10 years’ experience in general insurance, ideally with exposure to Financial Lines products (nice to have). Your understanding of policy wording, regulatory frameworks and industry standards is strong, and legal qualifications or experience are highly regarded. You may hold ANZIIF or other relevant industry qualifications. You’re known for clear communication, attention to detail and strong organisational skills. With an analytical mindset and sound judgement, you approach change with a whole-of-business perspective. You bring empathy, professionalism and a proactive attitude to everything you do.
