Who are we?

Guild Insurance is Australia's leading provider of insurance solutions for allied healthcare professionals. For over 60 years, we've been providing exceptional products, services, and unparalleled customer experiences driven by a genuine care for our clients' professional and financial well-being. With over 140 industry partnerships and 80,000 customers nationally, we are uniquely positioned to offer insurance our customers can depend on.

Our employee experience:

We thrive together at Guild Group.  Our people feel truly connected to our purpose and are motivated by it. With our eyes on the future, our people thrive on a challenge and learn from each other. Guild Group team members truly care about each other and our customers, and everyone contributes to make a real difference by supporting the people our communities rely on.

Why this opportunity?

  • You can make this role your own. You’ll be close to our customers and have the autonomy and the trust of your leaders to manage your portfolio of professional indemnity and liability claims
  • Our size means you have access to other teams in the business (such as Product & Underwriting) and senior leadership to support you in driving your claims
  • You can support and influence the development of your colleagues by coaching and mentoring our other Casualty Claims Specialists
  • If you’re coming from legal practice, this is your chance to work directly with an insurance company that values staff well-being, flexibility, and work-life balance

Who are you….

Your experience: You will have solid technical knowledge and experience independently managing high-risk and complex professional indemnity and liability claims. You could also come from practising insurance law with a desire to make a change and work in-house with an insurer. Through your experience, you’ll have an in-depth knowledge of the laws, legislation, and litigation practices relevant to these claims from which you can draw.

What you’ll do

As a Casualty Claims Specialist, you’ll autonomously manage a portfolio of complex claims. These claims are with clients across allied health and other professionals who provide care and advice to our communities. You will manage the claims and offer support and guidance to customers to deliver timely outcomes. You will be accountable for following our claims processes and be responsible for providing expert advice, recommendations and support.

What we offer?

  • Remuneration package + annual short- term incentive
  • Hybrid working arrangement (2 days in office, 3 days from home)
  • Paid parental leave for eligible staff and an extra day of paid leave in addition to annual leave entitlements
  • Enhanced long-service leave
  • Staff discounts and offers with leading retailers and an innovative Employee Assistance Programme
  • Wellbeing initiatives, learning opportunities and purpose led businesses.

Guild Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We celebrate diversity and treat our people and clients with fairness, dignity, and respect. We are open to candidates that may require a part-time arrangement; let us know what that looks like for you in your cover letter.
