What you’ll do 

As a Casualty Claims Specialist, you’ll manage a portfolio of up to 100 claims, a blend of active and dormant matters. You’ll independently handle straightforward files within delegation and collaborate with senior colleagues and legal partners on more complex claims. 

Your work will include: 

  • Managing enquiries and guiding customers with clarity and empathy 

  • Delivering fair, consistent, specialised claims outcomes 

  • Assessing coverage, liability and quantum 

  • Setting and executing effective resolution strategies 

  • Preparing documentation for matters requiring legal involvement 

  • Maintaining accurate file standards and following our service model 

  • Building positive relationships with clients, regulators and external stakeholders 

  • Contributing to team initiatives, improvements and best practice behaviours 

 

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for: 

  • Experience managing claims in a casualty portfolio 

  • Strong understanding of legislation, civil claims processes and/or PI/PL matters 

  • Ability to provide commercial, timely and well-reasoned decisions 

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and stakeholder management skills 

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working both independently and in a team

  • A law degree is helpful but not essential; health related experience is a bonus
