About Us
Guild Group’s Finance team supports the company’s key business units – including Guild Insurance, Acerta, Meridian Lawyers and Guild Trustee Services. We are responsive, agile, and always seeking ways to make our finance support more robust and flexible. We have recently moved to MS Dynamics 365 and are excited about the automation and process improvements we continue to implement.


The Role 
This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your Accounting career as an Assistant Accountant. You will support the daily finance operations of the Group’s finance team with a focus on Guild’s Insurance business, ensuring the group’s ledgers are complete and accurate while providing support to the finance team and broader business. Your days will be full and varied and while the points below don’t capture everything you’ll get to do, it’s a sample of the work you’ll be across:

  • From a business partnering and month-end perspective, you’ll be rolling out pre month end task list and work and assisting in monthly reporting and closing out month end of the Group’s entities in accordance with month end timetable
  • Day to day, you’re preparing actuarial data reconciliation and processing our journals into Dynamics 365
  • From a more regulatory perspective, you’ll be preparing and lodging PAYG Income & BAS Return and assisting in the year-end audit
  • You’re also likely to be involved in other projects as needed by the business and your leader.

About You

With some professional working knowledge of accounting functions and services as well as well-honed excel skills and an interest in the insurance industry, you are well known for your high attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will have developed theses skills in a team environment in a group or shared services finance team in a corporate environment.
