Your new role

You will provide exceptional customer service and support whilst setting customer expectations and strategy for the claim. You will deliver best practice claims management for medium claims in line with the strategic and operational objectives of the business whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • reviewing all new claims and support customers through the claims process
  • setting customer expectations for future management of the claim
  • setting claim strategy based on complexity of the claim and existing claims processes
  • making indemnity decisions within terms of policy and Code of Practice
  • reviewing claims reserve based on information received throughout the life of the claim
  • professionally managing a portfolio of medium complexity in a proactive and customer focussed manner with a strong financial focus
  • managing claims in line with claims guidelines and service standards
  • ensuring performance of panel service providers is in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • maintaining accurate and timely reserves for customers in line with claims guidelines
  • managing claims in line with delegated authorities in a timely and efficient manner
  • adhering to Insurance Code of Practice in all activities
  • following and maintaining regulatory trends and changes, to ensure the company navigates changes successfully
  • providing claim specific information to key stakeholders within GIL to assist in underwriting and product trends
  • providing feedback and input regarding the performance of Guild panel service providers
  • ensuring strong relationships and collaboration within claims and other internal stakeholder groups/divisions

About you

  • previous commercial property experience is essential
  • previous experience in a similar claims role within the general Insurance Industry
  • good knowledge of claims guidelines within broad range of general Insurance claims, specifically motor and property claims
  • proven “client first” approach
  • commercial property claims experience
  • excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • strong organisation skills
  • ability to work within a team environment
